Chapter 10 - The Science of Getting Rich

If you want your vision of wealth to remain clear in your mind, you must never allow your attention to turn to the opposing things – either real or imaginary. If you grew up poor, don’t talk about it. If you had to declare bankruptcy at one point in your life, don’t recount the story either to yourself or to anyone else. If you’ve been flat broke most of your life, put that firmly behind you. Put any experiences of poverty you may have had in your own life, firmly out of your mind.

As you study this book, you are learning to accept a CERTAIN WAY as being correct. And you are planning to spend the rest of your life believing and living in that CERTAIN WAY. What could you possibly gain by continuing to breathe life into old ways of thinking and being?

Stay away from people and books and films which tell you that Armageddon is arriving any moment or that the world is going to hell in a handbasket. This world is in a constant state of becoming. This world is in a constant state of the all-that-is expanding itself because you have expanded yourself. It is in a wonderful state of becoming more than it is – constantly.

Yes, there are things within the world we live in which we’d sooner not see here. But what is the use in studying them when they are in the state of passing away as the planet evolves to a new and higher level of existence? Studying them or giving our attention to them serves only to keep them in existence longer that they need be. Why do that when you can hasten their departure by giving your attention to the positive evolution of your heart and your soul?

No matter how devastating and terrible the things you see in other countries and parts of the world, you gain nothing for yourself and the growth of your own soul by allowing your attention to be drawn to them.

Instead, let your attention be drawn to the world’s becoming rich. Think of the riches which abound around you rather than the poverty to which so many give their attention. Think of the riches the world is growing into rather than the poverty it is growing out of. And remember that the only way you can actually help the world grow rich is to grow rich yourself using the creative methods you’re learning here – not the competitive methods which so many have used in the past. When you speak or think of those who others might call poor, make a point of thinking of them as those who are becoming rich. Think of them as those who are to be congratulated for their efforts rather than those who are to be pitied for their lack. When you do that, others will pick up on your inspiring point of view and begin to search for their own riches.

Since you are now giving all your time and your effort to becoming rich, it does not follow that you will become mean and hurtful to others. To become truly rich is the noblest aim you can have in life because it includes everything else. If you are trying to get rich on the competitive plane, you might find yourself in a dishonorable and mean struggle with others. But when you determine to get rich from the creative plane, that all changes. Everything that is noble and good in life comes to you when you use this method of getting rich and all things are made possible because now you have the riches to accomplish whatever you want.

I repeat. There is nothing so noble as to get rich using the creative method. To do that, you must firmly place your attention on your mental picture and your emotional feeling of wealth to the exclusion of all else. You must let nothing obscure your vision of wealth.



Some people are poor because they don’t know that there is enough wealth in the world for them. You can show them that there is by creating it for yourself and then teaching them how to do it. Others are poor because they are just too lazy to do anything about it. They do not want to put forth the effort it takes to become rich. For these people, you can show them that happiness can be had by putting forth the effort to become rightly rich – by becoming rich by the creative method.

Others are confused by what route they should take to get rich. Theories abound; people try a mixture of systems; they fail in all of them. Again, for these, you can show them by your own accomplishments the easiest way to go about becoming rich. Your success shows them that your methods are not just theory. They actually work.

The greatest thing you can do for the entire world is to make the most of yourself. Getting rich using the creative method you are learning here is the very best and most effective way you can serve the all-that-is and humanity itself. I’ve told you that this little book gives you in detail all the principles of the science of getting rich. If this is true, you do not need any other book on the subject. The principles put forth here are your shortest path to getting rich. They are the most direct route to your goal. There is no less complex system then what you are reading in these pages. Only the essentials of what is needed remain here. When you start on this process, put all other methods out of your mind. Focus here.

Read this book every day. Keep it with you. Commit it to memory, and do not think about other systems and theories. If you do, you will begin to have doubts and to be uncertain and wavering in your thought; then you might begin to create problems for yourself. After you have made good and become rich, study other systems as much as you please.

When it comes to the news of the world – read and watch only the most optimistic things you can find. Keep all your relationships with the external world, the world outside your own, in a very positive light. Focus only on the positive. Talk to positive people and completely stay away from people and publications whose sole purpose in life is to pull you away from your goal.

Now, this and the preceding chapters have brought us to the following statement of basic facts: There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates and fills the interspaces of the universe.

A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought. A person can form things in thought, and, by impressing that thought upon formless substance, can cause the thing being thought about to be created. In order to do this, one must pass from the competitive to the creative mind, must form a clear mental picture of all desires and must hold this picture in thought with the fixed PURPOSE to get what is wanted and the unwavering FAITH that what is wanted will appear, closing the mind against all that may tend to shake the stated purpose, dim bright vision or quench strong faith.

And in addition to this, we will now see how one must live and act in a CERTAIN WAY.
