"This book is very simply about how we get and use energy. When we get enough energy, in the right ways, we can "raise our vibration." With a higher vibration we are better able to tap into our psychic and intuitive skills, and thus are better able to discover and live our true purpose in life." Chakra is the Sanskrit word-meaning wheel. It is used here to describe the seven major centers of the energy body. These centers correspond to various parts of the physical, spiritual, mental and etheric body. There are also correspondences as to location, body parts, glands, senses, mental states, spiritual and psychological functions and malfunctions, etc. Illness can be seen as an imbalance in the Chakra system, blocking energy flow. The more blocked or imbalanced, the more serious is the illness. Likewise, balance in the Chakras is manifested by a state of well-being and health. There are certain colors connected to these Chakra centers as well as sounds. Channeling is the transmission of information or energy from sources beyond the physical plane. Normally, these sources are depicted as spiritual. They may be identified as angels, hierarchical, Masters, guides, extraterrestrials, teachers, previous earth incarnates, or even energies, and expanded aspects of the channeler's own being. This material may be transmitted during a trance, unconsciousness or partial consciousness. The content may be spoken, written or nonverbal and can be informative and inspiring.
Chelation is a medical treatment to improve metabolic and circulatory function by removing toxic metals and abnormally located ions from the body by intravenously administering the synthetic amino acid, EDTA. Once in the bloodstream, EDTA blocks excess free radical production, protecting the tissues and organs from further damage, and also binds to toxic metals such as lead, copper, and iron in the blood, which are later flushed from the kidneys. In chelation therapy injections, over time, may halt underlying conditions which eventually trigger degenerative conditions such as arteriosclerosis, diabetes and arthritis to name a few. Ch'i or qi (pronounced "chee" and henceforth spelled "chi") is the Chinese word used to describe "the natural energy of the Universe." This energy, though called "natural," is spiritual or supernatural, and is part of a metaphysical, not an empirical, belief system. Chi is thought to permeate all things, including the human body. Chinese Medicine was developed more that 3,000 years ago, Chinese medicine is a holistic perspective on health and illness, which treats the relationship of a symptom to the person as a whole. Basic foundations of Oriental medical analysis, interpretation and treatment include factors of environment, behavior, emotional state, stage of life and season. Chinese medicine includes the Yin-Yang theory of balance - a Five Phase theory coordinating organs within categories of fire, earth, metal, water, and wood; the concept of qi a vital life energy flowing throughout the body along meridian pathways; acupuncture and acupressure, herbology and nutrition. Great emphasis is placed on preventive techniques. Chiropractic uses forceful and gentle touch and movement techniques to correct spinal nerve interferences. Misalignments, or subluxations of the vertebral column, often put pressure on spinal cord nerve tissues, interfering with the nerves' ability to conduct impulses to other tissues and organs, thus directly affecting one's overall health. Chiropractors help maintain the natural alignment of the body so that it can function at optimal capacity and have been effective in treating back problems, headaches and other injuries and traumas. Chopra, Deepak MD has been at the forefront of a major trend in holistic healing. Since the early 1980's Chopra has successfully combined his impeccable credentials as a practicing endocrinologist with his exploration of mind/body medicine. Clairsentience is a psychic term for clear-feeling. Clairsentience is a feeling of energy. It is also known as psychometry and the holder of an object is able to read the energies of the object. Clairvoyance is a psychic term for clear-seeing a visionary or perception of knowingness that something is to happen or has happened in one's life. Codependence is a term used to describe a kind of addiction, an addiction frequently seen in relationships. Someone is said to be suffering from codependence when they exhibit enabling behavior with a loved one who is suffering from an addiction to drugs or alcohol. The behavior of the caring individual is said to hinder recovery of the real addict by enabling the addict to continue the addiction. Colon Health Care or Colonic is an internal bath used to wash away old toxic waste accumulated along the walls of the colon, given with pressurized water. Water used for colonic hydrotherapy can include vitamin or mineral additives for corrective processes, and for the prevention of disease. Colonics are recommended for ailments such as constipation, psoriasis, acne, allergies and headaches or used for general health balance. The importance of colon health care cannot be overstressed. It is said that all illness begins in the colon. Color Therapy has been determined to have a profound effect on the mind body and spirit. Color is also used in the Chakra system to bring about a balancing. It affects moods and can affect the brain's function and total health and well-being. Specific frequencies of color can be very therapeutic and benefit our overall outlook on how we perceive life. Conjuring is the art of legerdemain, of magical tricks, of performance of feats seemingly requiring the assistance of supernatural powers or forces. To conjure is to summon a demon or spirit by invocation or incantation. Transpersonal Counseling is a counseling approach that incorporates the fourth force in psychology. It begins with the basic premise that we are more than our bodies, minds, emotions and behaviors. An individual is understood to have an innate tendency towards growth, balance, wholeness and consciousness. This incorporates transpersonal (beyond personal) levels of being. As persons learn to identify and release unwanted behaviors, those patterns can be transformed into constructive and creative energies. Everyday problems are addressed within this larger context. This is a system for psychological and spiritual growth that may utilize concepts of karma, or meditation and prayer, along with many other techniques. Craniosacral Therapy - The craniosacral system surrounds the brain and the spinal cord, creating a core rhythm in the body that is communicated throughout the entire body, all the way to the extremities. By using this rhythm for evaluation, the practitioner is able to tune into the cause of the problem rather than chase symptoms. CST is a system of evolution and treatment viewing the individual as an integrated totality and utilizes gentle non-invasive techniques. As a result, the application of CST helps to enhance the body's innate healing abilities. CST may be helpful for many conditions, including chronic pain, headaches, CFS, fibromyalgia, postural problems and much more. Crop circles are geometric patterns, some very intricate and complex, appearing in fields, usually wheat fields and usually in England. There is a segment of the population that believes the circles are messages from alien spacecraft. Some maintain that the aliens are trying to communicate with us using ancient Sumerian symbols or symbolic representations of alien DNA. Others feel that these circles are messages from Mother Earth herself. A crystal is nature's three-dimensional geometric form whose outward appearence mirrors the internalized perfect ordering of atoms. The unity among the particles comprising crystals vibrates with a cosmic harmony which can be tapped into and used in healing or in the evolution of consciousness. The crystals that intrigue New Agers are said to have come to us through Atlantis from an extraterrestrial source and to be endowed with magical powers such as spontaneous production of holographic images and emission of unusual sounds. The word cult is usually used to refer to unconventional religious groups, though the term is sometimes used to refer to non-religious groups which appear to share significant features with religious cults. Three ideas seem essential to the concept of a cult. One is thinking in terms of us/them with total alienation from them. The second is the intense, though often subtle, indoctrination techniques used to recruit and hold members. And the third is the charismatic cult leader. Cultism usually involves some sort of belief that outside the cult all is evil and threatening; inside the cult is the special path to salvation through the cult leader and his teachings. By these criteria, some might even consider that Christianity in its various forms could be called a cult - or multiple cults. A curse is a prayer or invocation expressing a wish that harm, misfortune, injury, great evil, etc., be brought upon another person, place, thing, clan, nation, etc. People are also said to be cursed if harm comes to them regularly or in seeming disproportion to the rest of us. Curses seem to have been a regular part of ancient cultures and may have been a way to frighten enemies and explain the apparent injustices of the world.
