Healing Touch is an energy based, therapeutic approach to healing. Its roots lie in the ancient laying on of hands. HT practitioners develop skills in sensing human energy and learn how to bring harmony and balance to the client. Human beings are energy. Often that energy is out of balance due to life styles, life experiences and disease. All healing is self-healing. Practitioners are facilitators in the process of self-healing. Significant improvement takes place on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.

Herbology is an ancient way of healing found in cultures throughout the world utilizing plants and their derivatives as preventive and curative medicine. It is believed that medicinal and nutritional supplements synthesized from separate and isolated elements create a physical dependency in the body by reducing its ability to extract these elements from whole foods. Whole herbs, however, retain the subtler ingredients necessary to balance the active elements, thus transporting a balanced substance into the body that can catalyze healing more effectively. In this way herbal therapy strengthens the natural functions of the body without the negative side effects of synthetic drugs. Herbs are prepared for internal and external use in a variety of ways, including teas, tinctures, extracts, oils, ointments and compresses.

Holistic Health Medicine is a general term describing a perspective on health and healing that considers all aspects of one's life in creating a total state of health. Analysis of physical, nutritional, emotional, environmental, and spiritual values of the client is performed as an interrelated work, which treats the entirety of the individual. The treatment may consist of a few traditional or alternative procedures, each appropriate to a different aspect of one's self and life, to achieve a fuller, more unified sense of well-being. A holistic practitioner takes the stance of assisting the clients in the process of self-healing, thus forming a cooperative relationship with them.

Holographic Repatterning identifies the core structure of any issue a person wants to resolve and through repatternings and self healing modalities, removes the unconscious patterns and energy constrictions of the issue from their mind, body, and emotions. Each part of the process is directed by the person's higher consciousness through muscle checking. This powerful process results in greater sense of empowerment and self-esteem, and improved relationships and performance in every aspect of life.

Holotropic Breathwork is a powerful technique of self-exploration and healing based on and combining insights from modern consciousness research, depth psychology and various spiritual practices. This approach is based on the mobilization of the spontaneous healing potential of the psyche in non-ordinary states of consciousness, which are induced, by deep repeated breathing and evocative music. Holotropic Breathwork mediates access to all levels of human experience including unfinished issues from postnatal biography, sequences of psychological death and rebirth and the entire spectrum of transpersonal phenomena.

Homeopathy is a holistic medical science developed over 200 years ago by a German physician named Samuel Hahnemann. Based on the principle that like cures like, homeopathy employs the use of minute doses of natural remedies that are created from herbal mineral and animal substances. It was Hahnemann's belief that symptoms of illness should not be suppressed, since they represent the body's efforts to repel disease. It is widely practiced throughout Europe and there are homeopathic hospitals in Britain.

The hundredth monkey phenomenon refers to a sudden spontaneous and mysterious leap of consciousness achieved when an allegedly "critical mass" point is reached. For example, people start thinking about ending world hunger. One person gets another to start thinking about it who gets another who gets another not ad nauseam or ad infinitum but until suddenly a breakthrough is achieved when the "critical mass" point is reached. Then, spontaneously and mysteriously, everybody starts thinking about ending world hunger. The expression "hundredth monkey" comes from an observation made on monkeys in the 1950s. It was alleged by Lyall Watson in his book Lifetide that one monkey taught another to wash potatoes who taught another who taught another and soon all the monkeys on the island were washing potatoes where no monkey had ever washed potatoes before. When the hundredth monkey learned to wash potatoes, suddenly and spontaneously and mysteriously monkeys on other islands, with no physical contact with the potato-washing cult, started washing potatoes!

Hypnosis is commonly used in behavior modification therapy to assist clients in overcoming phobias or bad habits.
