Glossary-LGot a moment before you start on glossary-l? Levitation is the act of ascending into the air and floating in apparent defiance of gravity. Spiritual masters are often depicted as levitating and the ability to levitate is taken as sign of blessedness by some. Lucid dreaming is dreaming while being aware that you are dreaming. It can also be called conscious dreaming. Lucid dreamers who are much closer to normal consciousness than most people during the dream state strive to control or guide or manipulate their dreams. This type of dreaming can be initiated from within the dream state itself. It can be planned ahead of time or it can spontaneously happen when a dreamer goes from an awakened stated immediately into a dream state with no intervening state of consciousness.
