Magic(k) is the art and science of causing change in accordance with the will by non-physical means. Magick is associated with all kinds of paranormal and occult phenomena, including but not limited to: ESP, astral projection, psychic healing, the kabala and chakras. Magick uses various symbols, such as the pentagram, as well as a variety of symbolic ritual behaviors aimed at achieving powers which allow one to contravene the laws of physics, chemistry, etc. Magick should not be confused with magic, which is the art of conjuring and legerdemain.
Manifesting is the art of creating what you want at the time that you want it.
Magnetic Therapy is an understanding of the interrelationship between electromagnetic energy and the human body and using this relationship to encourage the body to heal itself. Magnetic therapy treatments include the use of non-invasive magnets applied to the body affecting its various ionic currents and electromagnetic fields. Reported benefits include relief from discomfort, reduction of swelling infection, insomnia, stress and increased energy.
Meditation can be a state of focused or mindful attention, which may include the use of a sitting posture, imagery, mantras, observation and control of the breath, allowing thoughts to emerge and pass without becoming engaged with them. The deep relaxation of meditation may heal the body, quiet the mind and provide a sense of inner balance. Spiritually, meditation is sometimes practiced to attain higher levels of consciousness and the realization of the transcendent within each of us or to still the mind and allow greater clarity and awareness to emerge.
A medium, in spiritualism, is one to whom spirits communicate directly. In an earlier, simpler but more dramatic age, a good medium would produce voices, apports, ring bells, float or move things across a darkened room or produce automatic writing.
Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy consisting of ontology (the nature of existence) and cosmology (the origin and general structure of the universe). The term 'metaphysics' is often used to express ideas and theories as to what kinds of beings are real, the nature of those beings and of the concepts used to think about those beings.
Midwives are trained to give the necessary care and advice to women during pregnancy, labor and the post birth period. They can conduct deliveries on their own responsibility and care for the newly born infant. They must be able to recognize the warning signs of abnormal conditions requiring referral to a doctor and to carry out emergency measures when no additional help is available. They may practice in homes, birthing centers or hospitals. In any situation they have an important task in health education within the family and community.
Mind control is the successful control of the thoughts and actions of another without his or her consent.
A miracle is a transgression of a law of nature by a particular volition of the Deity, or by the interposition of some invisible agent.
