Xenoglossy is the speaking or writing in a language entirely unknown to the speaker and one that could not have been learned by natural means. It comes from the Greek word for "foreign". It is often part of a religious or spiritual practice and is considered by some to be a personal experience of God. In other words, God is speaking through the the person experiencing xenoglossy and the rest of us just can't understand what God is saying. It is a part of the Pentecostal worship tradition as well as some more ancient Hindu forms of worship.
