of The Many Faces of God, there are so many new things to start considering when you start to become personally responsible for your own spiritual development - things you never even thought could be considered part of your spiritual path. It can seem overwhelming at times. And sometimes you just need a little help to find your way through the maze of new thoughts, feelings, ideas and subjects you are encountering.
Both being and having a spiritual mentor will be most useful to you. You've probably heard the old saying "you teach what you need to learn." So just when you start learning about a specific topic - how to rid yourself of jealousy, for example - someone will come along and ask for some guidance in that very thing. And, eureka, you have found a way to be a mentor for someone else.
Or maybe you need help in that particular area and you ask a question. There will be someone else who can help you as you work out your own personal answer to that question. You know that saying too - "when the student is ready the teacher appears."
Help and be helped. That's the idea here. So come on in and let's work together toward a healthier and more joyful spiritual life for you.
Remember that when people pose their own personal issues here, they are putting themselves in a most vulnerable position. They are asking for help and they need to be treated with care and love. You will need that also when you ask your first question.
