I am grateful to have joined our local YMCA and be using my body again

Since becoming a caregiver for my elderly mother, I have been restricted from many of the more active athletic pursuits I used to participate in, such as hiking and backpacking. As a result, I've gained weight... too much weight.
Recently, my home business income picked up and my husband became re-employed again, so now we have the money to join our local YMCA. The Y offers dance exercise classes that I love; it hardly feels like exercising!
So, I'm starting to re-experience the joy of using your body and the exhilaration of getting back in shape. Hopefully, I'll also lose those extra pounds along the way! And maybe make a few new friends too. By the way, my favorite classes so far are Zumba and yoga flow.
