YOU MUST GET RID OF THE LAST VESTIGE OF THE OLD IDEA that there is a deity whose will it is that you should be poor or whose purposes are served by keeping you in poverty. Law of Attraction The intelligent substance, the god-stuff, the all-that-is, which penetrates and permeates all the universe and which is you and which lives in you is, like you, a consciously living substance. The inherent desire of every consciously living being is for increase of life. Life, in its very existence, in the very living of it, seeks increase. Law of Attraction When a seed is dropped into the ground, it sprouts and creates a new plant which in turn creates hundreds more seeds and then this process can be repeated. The plant, by the mere act of living, increases itself. If it is to continue to be a living entity, it must do so. Law of Attraction Intelligence, your intelligence, all intelligence feels this same necessity to expand continuously. There is no end to the expansion. Each thought leads to another thought and that one to another. Consciousness is continually expanding. This continual expansion is constantly adding to the totality of consciousness, the totality of all-that-is. Every fact you learn, opens you up to the learning of new facts. Every talent you develop brings new talents. Life is always driving you to know more, to do more and to be more. Law of Attraction In order to know more, do more, and be more you must have more. You must have things to use because you learn and do and become only by using these things. You must get rich so that you can be more, do more, have more, live more. Law of Attraction The desire for riches is simply the capacity for larger life seeking fulfillment. Every desire is the effort of an unexpressed possibility to come into action. It is power seeking to manifest which causes desire. That which makes you want more money is the same as that which makes the plant grow; it is life seeking fuller expression. Law of Attraction There is only one living substance and that substance is subject to the inherent law of life which is the law of increase and expansion. This living substance, this god-stuff is permeated with the desire to live more and that is why it wants to create things. This god-stuff can live and create through you. And for it to increase through you, you must be able to help it. That is why it wants you to have all you can have. Law of Attraction This god-stuff not only wants you to get rich; it needs for you to get rich. Because, if you do, then it can express itself better through you because you will have more things to use in giving it expression. It can live more in you and through you if you have a greater command of life. The universe wants you to have everything you want to have. Nature and the god-stuff are friendly to your plans. Everything is naturally for you, naturally on your side, naturally in your court. Make up your mind that that is true. Law of Attraction What’s essential, however, is that your purpose should harmonize with the purpose of the god-stuff. What you must be seeking is TRUE life – not just sensual gratification or gross pleasure. You must remember that life is about increase. Life is about growth. Life is about creating more. And only if your quest for riches will propel you in the direction of increasing the all-that-is by whatever means you can – physical, mental or spiritual without excess in any one of these – will you be truly in harmony with the god-stuff. Law of Attraction You aren’t trying to get rich just so you can live a selfish life trying to satisfy the basest of desires. This is not life but some poor imitation of it. However, physical functions are normal and healthful expressions of life. And you can’t fully live if you’ve repressed the expression of the physical functions of life. They are meant to be expressed. Law of Attraction Likewise, getting rich solely to enjoy mental pleasures like the acquisition of knowledge or the gratification of ambition or the satisfaction of a need to outdo others is not truly an expression of the creativity of life. Again, the mental pleasures are a legitimate part of life but to live only for them is to only live a partially fulfilling life. Law of Attraction And in the spiritual realm, getting rich only to do good work for others, to forget your own needs and desires in trying to help others through sacrifice and philanthropy is not the fullest expression of life. The joys of the soul are only a part of life – neither better nor nobler than any other. Law of Attraction So why DO you want to get rich? You want to get rich so that you can enjoy the things of the planet: good food, good drink and good friends to be happy with. You want to be able to surround yourself with beautiful things, travel to distant parts of the world, learn new things, enhance your mind. You want to be loved, love others, do kind things and play your part in helping the world find the truth. Keep in mind though, that extremes of any kind are not required by the god-stuff. Extreme altruism is no nobler than extreme selfishness. And get rid of the idea that you have to sacrifice yourself for others. The god-stuff does not require that.
The all-that-is always wants to increase itself and for it to do that, it needs for you to make the most of yourself. And you can help others the most by making the most of yourself.
And to make the most of yourself, you actually NEED to get rich. It is the right thing to do. So give your best thinking to how you might do that - how you might acquire wealth. Just keep remembering that you are doing this for increase to the all-that-is. These methods cannot be made to work if your intention is to cause less life to anyone. You must be dedicated to the increase of life for that is the only true purpose of life itself. The intelligent substance will make things for you and will assist you in making things for yourself but it will not take things away from another in order to give them to you.
At this point, competition falls out of the picture. Your purpose is to create, not to compete for something which has already been created. If you believe that there is not enough of something, then you might be tempted to compete for it. But, as we have already seen, there is plenty for all. You do not have to hoard anything or take anything away from anyone else in order to create for yourself. You don’t have to undercut prices or cheat or take advantage of anyone. You don’t have to seek what others already have. No one has anything that you can’t have the equivalent of without taking something away from someone else.
You are becoming a creator – not a competitor. You are going to get what you want but you are going to do it in such a way that everyone else you meet along the way will have more than they had before they met you.
Yes, there are those who are very skilled upon the field of competition and who have done very well in the world. They have proceeded in direct opposition to the above statements and have done very well for themselves. And it is still possible to continue creating in this manner. But if you look into the private lives of those individuals, you generally will not find contented minds and peaceful hearts.
Whatever riches are created on the competitive plane can be taken away on the competitive plane. They are yours today and someone else’s tomorrow. If you plan to become rich in the scientific and CERTAIN WAY, you must leave competitive thought and actions behind. If you still believe that markets can be cornered and that supplies are limited and you want to have laws passed to protect yourself, then you have dropped into the competitive plane and your power to create is gone for the moment. And, even worse, you might even bring to a halt the creative activities that you have already begun.
Just know that there are vast amounts of treasures piled up within the mountains and seas of the earth. We have by no means found all the riches there are to be found. We have by no means created all the wealth there is to be created. And, if somehow these supplies become limited, it is possible to create more from the thinking substance to supply your needs as well as the needs of everyone else who knows that scarcity is a myth and who is able to create what is needed from within the god-stuff.
You must KNOW that the riches you need will be available even if it takes a whole fleet of planes and trucks to move them across the planet to you. Never look solely at the visible supply. Look instead at the limitless riches of the all-that-is. Know that these things are coming to you as fast as you can receive them and use them. No one can prevent you from receiving what is yours and what you are ready to receive.
Never allow yourself for one instant to think that something you are seeking will be gone when it is your turn to receive it. The car you want will be there when you are ready for it. The home site you want to build on will be available when you are ready to build. No one can beat you to anything that is truly yours. Remember this. You are not competing with anyone for anything. You are causing to be created from the formless stuff of the all-that-is everything that you want. And the supply of that god-stuff is limitless. Just keep in mind the statement we have been creating:
There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates and fills the interspaces of the universe. A thought, in this substance, produces the thing that is imaged by the thought. You can form things in your thought, and, by impressing that thought upon formless substance, you can cause the thing you are thinking about to be created.
