Let’s talk about the present. For the moment, all your activities will arise from where you are RIGHT NOW. Whatever business or other endeavor you are currently engaged in will be the springboard from which you will jump into your new life. So, for the moment, you need to make constructive use of your current business by doing your daily work in the CERTAIN WAY. Law of Attraction In your dealings with others, make every effort to convey to them how much better things are going for you in every way. All your efforts must be toward creating the impression of INCREASE in your mind and the minds of those around you. INCREASE is what all beings are seeking whether it appears that way to you or not. It is the urge of formless intelligence – the all-that-is – to express itself through each one of us. Law of Attraction The desire for increase is inherent in all nature; it is the fundamental impulse of the universe. All human activities are based on the desire for increase. People are seeking more food, more clothes, better shelter, more luxury, more beauty, more knowledge, more pleasure — an increase in something – and therefore more life. Every living thing is under this necessity for continuous advancement; where increase of life ceases, dissolution and death set in at once. Law of Attraction We all instinctively know this and therefore we are all constantly seeking more. Jesus spoke of this with the parable of the Talents. Do not hide your talents under a bushel. That’s the way to lose them. Only if you use them will they increase. And that’s exactly what each of us wants to do from the moment we are born. We want MORE. Law of Attraction We all have a desire for increased wealth - however wealth may be defined in any given moment. This desire is not an evil and horrible thing. It is simply the desire for a more abundant life. It is an inspiration. And we are attracted to whatever can give us more abundance which means more life. Law of Attraction If you are following the CERTAIN WAY as described so far in this book, you are getting more and more for yourself all the time and you are giving it to everyone you deal with. You are a center of creation and what you create is shared with all with whom you come in contact. Know this firmly within yourself and be sure all with whom you interact know this also. No matter how small the transaction you are involved in put the thought of INCREASE in it and be sure the person at the other end of the transaction receives the thought of INCREASE from you. Law of Attraction Let each of your acts carry with it the feeling of increase or advancement. Consciously infusing each action you take with this feeling will convey to those you are dealing with that same feeling for themselves and they will feel that you are a person of "advancement" or "increase." Do this even in social situations where there is no thought of business of any kind. Law of Attraction The way to give this impression to others is to hold it firmly in yourself first. When you let this feeling of increase infuse your every thought and action, when you let it inspire and fill you, it will naturally express itself in your interactions with others. Do everything you can to fill yourself with the notion that you are getting rich and that your riches will spill over into the lives of others and convey benefit to all.
Now, you don’t need to be a braggart or be boastful about your successes. And you don’t need to talk about them unnecessarily. It usually turns out that a boastful person is one who is secretly full of doubt and fear. Just feel the faith inside yourself. Let it infuse every transaction you are involved with. Let every nuance of your being express the assurance that you are getting rich – even that you are already rich. Words are not necessary to communicate this to others. They will feel it in you. When they are in your presence, they will feel the sense of increase that you exude naturally and they will naturally be attracted to you.
You want people to feel that simply by associating with you, they will become more than they are now. If you are giving them something for cash value, make sure you give them more than the cash value of the object of the transaction. Be proud of this. Let your customers know this and you will have no lack of customers. People are naturally attracted to places where they receive more than they expect. And the all-that-is which desires increase in all will move people toward you for the purpose of creating increase in both you and them. You will find your happiness increasing rapidly and will be surprised at the benefits which will come to you. Each day you operate in this manner, you will be able to do it better and better, to draw more INCREASE into your presence. And shortly, you will be able to move to a better place in life where you can repeat this process even more to your advantage.
You must hold tight to your vision of what you want and your faith and purpose in getting what you want. Let me here give you another word of caution in regard to motives: Beware of the insidious temptation to seek power over others. Nothing is as pleasant to the unformed or partially developed mind as the exercise of power or domination over others. The desire to rule for selfish gratification has been the curse of the world. For countless ages kings and presidents have drenched the earth with blood in their battles to extend their domains — not to seek more life for all, but to get more power for themselves.
Today, the main motive in the business and industrial world is the same: Men marshal their armies of dollars and lay waste to the lives and hearts of millions in this same mad scramble for power over others. Corporate kings, like political kings, are inspired by the lust for power. Look out for the temptation to seek for authority, to become a "master," to be considered as one who is above the common herd, to impress others by lavish display and so on. The mind that seeks for mastery over others is the competitive mind and the competitive mind is not the creative mind. In order to master your environment and your destiny, it is not at all necessary that you should rule others, and, indeed, when you fall into the world’s struggle for the high places, you begin to be conquered by fate and environment and your getting rich becomes a matter of chance and speculation rather than the natural outgrowth of the creative being that you are.
