Reconnective Healing - A Flirtation with Perfection

by Melanie Valbert
(Albuquerque, NM USA)

There's something to this. I read the book but have not taken a class. I'm divided about the book as, in my opinion, there is a lot of disrespect for other modalities and practitioners - low energy. But I have tried the technique on myself and several other people with powerful results.

RECONNECTIVE HEALING
Received by Eric Pearl
(Numbers indicate pages in the book THE RECONNECTION by Eric Pearl)

Reconnecting our DNA from 2-strand back to the original 12-strand. 91,92

Healing is also the restoration of the person to spiritual wholeness…the release or removal of a block or interference that has kept us separate from the perfection of the universe. 109

As a race, we are entering a level of frequency where the untruths will not be able to entrain their vibrations, and being too dense, will simply fall away; the separations will be healed; the superstitions will be released.111

…”healing” means reconnecting with the perfection the universe…122

…the universe knows what we need to receive and what we are to gain as a result of it.122

The less you try to direct, the more room you give the Universe to do so – and the greater the results.124

With Reconnective Healing, we interact with the energies near one area of the patient’s body until we’re ready to move on to another area…. When we’re bored – when whatever compelled us to work in that area no longer holds our attention!125

So look for something new that catches your attention, that grabs your interest – be it a feeling in your hands, a buzzing or vibration in your ears, or a visible response in the person on the table…. Are we taking this too lightly? On the contrary, this honors the process in its highest, as it keeps us “true” and in our integrity, absolutely connected and at one with the process and the person on our table.125
Whatever form of diagnosis we use, it adds one more step of separation between our patient and their healing process. 126

Enjoying your own emotions allows you to maintain this level of detached presence.129

Heightened states of your own emotion allow you to remain absorbed in your own experience and contribute to that experience of being both the observer and the observed. This state allows the person on the table to enter into their own samadhi, their own oneness, where they may be in their own experience.129

“Quit taking yourself so seriously. Nobody else does.” Ron Roth 130

…our worthiness has already been established merely by our being.139

From the moment you started reading this book (actually, from the moment you decided to read it), you’ve been “in Process”…in the process of “becoming.”149

Reconnective Healing takes you beyond technique into a state of being: You are this healing energy, and it is you. You can’t help but resonate with it. It emanates from you the moment you focus your attention on it – and sometimes you’ll find that your attention is on it because it’s emanating from you. This is how you begin to work with reconnective energy – by noticing it, by allowing your attention to fall onto it.150

This concept of ease permeates every aspect of Reconnective Healing. 166

Creating the environment

Gentle light but enough to see the patient’s responses. Don’t want to cast shadows on the patient’s eyelids as you move around.
White noise is better than dead silence or music (which might lead the patient out of the experience on the table.)

Relative Intensity – the intensity of relatives can divert the healing. Be alone with the patient unless s/he is uncomfortable being alone with you.
From the healing standpoint, time doesn’t matter.160

30-45 minute sessions make for easy scheduling. Some clients expect more or less. Schedule at least three visits knowing that more than one may not be needed.

…you don’t need to use your hands with these energies.169 Can do long distance, can do with your eyes.

…remaining childlike is essential. 175

Energy exercises 176

Focusing Attention – Hold palms a foot or so apart and feel the energy in each palm. Notice what you feel and where. May take 10-15 seconds to notice anything. Look at one palm. Then the other.

Ping-Pong Ball – Visualize ping-pong ball of energy bouncing back and forth between palms.
Slinky – Visualize a Slinky moving between palms.
Feel, Find, Stretch the Energy – Stretch the energy between palms. May want to move palms in circles to get a feel for the energy. Ethereal taffy. Put someone’s body part between the palms, not touching. Forget that the person is there. It’s just about the energy moving between your hands.

Floating – Visualize the room filling with water with your hands and arms floating. Notice the surface tension supporting your hands. Notice, notice, notice. This will be like establishing a connection with client.

If you can’t feel it, you’re trying too hard. 178 Do not send the energy, just receive it.

Getting Started 183

…listen with your hands. Listen…with a different sense. 182

The client closes his/her eyes. You leave yours open. Your eyes are an integral part of the healing process…183

The more premeditated analysis you give it, the more you distance yourself from finding the 'groove.' 183

It’s not what you feel: it’s that you feel. 183 Once you feel it, work it, stretch it… Keep you hands relaxed. Move them in and out, or circle them. Mix, match and combine until you find the confluence. You are finding the rhythm that amplifies the wavelength, which amplifies the force coming through you. 184

Don’t over analyze what you do. Put your hands where they want to go. You’re joining your energy with theirs and with the rest of the universe. 184

Do what feels right.
This is not a conscious, decision-making process. 185

Watch for the client’s register.

A register is best thought of as an indication that you’ve found a good “spot” in the energy field – a connected place to be…

Registers are an indication that the person on the table has gone to the place where decisions are made regarding their healing.188

Registers will frequently not correspond at all with the area of the body where the patient’s injury or ailment is thought to exist. 188

Your function is to find an interesting place in the patient’s energy field, and play with it until you feel like moving on…when your interest is heightened, it keeps you present and connected. 188

Common Registers: REM, breathing changes (even stops), swallowing, tears, laughter, finger movements, head rotation and body movements, stomach gurgling. 191,192

Their interpretation of their session is not your responsibility.

What you might feel: bubbles in your palm, water droplets, sparkles, dryness, heat, cold, (hot, cold, wet, dry simultaneously) pulling, pushing, throbbing, electricity, magnetic attraction, magnetic repelling, air-density changes, breezes (usually cool and site-specific), expansion of your body.193,194

What to say to client: “Lie down, close your eyes. Let yourself drift, without falling asleep. Trust that whoever it is that hears your thoughts and prayers has already heard yours. Not only have they heard what you’ve already asked for, they’ve also heard what you haven’t thought to ask for. They’ve known all along. Even before you walked in, So stop talking, stop the mind chatter, and just listen: let the universe bring you whatever it decides you need. Just lie there and be as open to experiencing nothing as you are to experiencing something. In that openness, your experience will arrive.” 201

Tell the client to withhold comments about what they feel unless it is really important, then they can quietly tell you so you can write it down.207

Debriefing the Patient: Keep records. Take notes. 205

1 Ask what client experienced. Make sure they keep to facts: I felt, saw, heard, smelled this or that.
2 Keep asking: what else do you recall? Don’t lead them.
3 Pose more questions relating to senses: Was there anything else you saw, heard, felt, smelled, tasted?

Don’t let them give you their interpretation of what it means. It’s probably wrong and detracts from them recalling what they experienced.

Keep a poker face (a ‘no cherished outcomes’ face) So they won’t play off you.

Last words:
…you can only offer a healing; you can’t inflict a healing. Permission, therefore, is automatically requested as part of the act of offering. 215

What you are doing is bringing light and information onto the planet – and where there is light and information, there can be no darkness.
